OUR STORY
It started in 1994 as WATERWORTH and has evolved ever since...
Founded in Brisbane, the business initially operated as a holding entity for a group of health and wellbeing services, including, but not limited to, The Relaxation, Massage and Natural Health Centre, The Poppet Counselling Centre, Waterworth Medical, Avant-Gardé Training, and Activate Executive Fitness. In 1996, these services came together under Waterworth House, recognised at the time as Australia’s first truly multidisciplinary healthcare centre, while the consulting arm continued to operate as WPL Consultants.

As the team’s breadth of skills grew, so did demand for employee health and welfare support. Under the Waterworth name, the business expanded into employee assistance counselling, allied health prevention programs, and occupational health and safety strategies for small and medium-sized organisations as well as multinational companies across Australia.
​
In 2000, the company evolved again, moving its head office to Sydney it choose to focus exclusively on consulting services and the project management of employee welfare programs across a broad client base throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. This shift also marked the sale and closure of the Waterworth House clinic operations.
​
In 2014 came the next major chapter. With Helen Warren, one of the founding directors, moving into retirement, Waterworth became Shane Warren & Associates. Under Shane’s leadership, the business has continued to grow its reputation for practical, people-focused support across a number of specialist areas.
